Visual arts at Cullinane College provides students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to succeed in both the secondary and tertiary environment. Students are encouraged to develop and express their creative talent.
In the junior school students explore different cultures, artists’ models and techniques. At Cullinane College students gain knowledge and practical experience in both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art.
The senior course at Cullinane College provides the students with the knowledge and skills required so they can produce their own original works of art exhibited in their portfolio at the end of the year.
The students select their own artist models and themes they wish to explore in consultation with their teacher. Originality and artistic intent is celebrated and achievement is gained.
The music department at Cullinane is well recognised as being the premier provider of contemporary music education in Wanganui.
Specialist tutors are provided to assist the young musicians in their creative endeavours. Students associated with Cullinane College can often be seen performing in Wanganui.
The music department has state of the art rehearsal rooms and recording studios.
